Summary
The overall objective of this training is to strengthen the capacity of the Catholic School Teachers on child protection and upbringing. The Training was conducted by Fr. Emil Kindole, Social Welfare Officer and Gender And Children’s Desk for District Office.

After the launch of the Child Protection Policy in the Iringa Province, it is now time for a seminar for Teachers, Parents, Stakeholders and Students in all schools within the Iringa Catholic Province.

Training Objectives
The Specific objectives are:
- To enable Catholic School Teachers to understand child protection within a child rights framework by consider principles of human rights and how is related from the international and Regional instruments including CRC and ACRWC as well as the LCA.
- To enable participants to understand the child’s best interests in the context of child development and the importance of sustain the role of the parent/guardian to provide a constant love, care and support especially in the child’s first two years.
- To enable participants to view a child’s circumstances in terms of their vulnerability to abuse and to understand different ways on how to strengthen a child’s resilience to abuse.
